Paper Ornaments

For "Junk"le Bells in May

A page from an old paper back book, fan folded and secured with hot glue with a found Santa attached to the middle. I wanted to have mor of them made by now but just didn't get it done.

I included the photo I found on the internet where I got the idea. I think they would be cute made into a garland or banner spelling out MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Have a Happy Holiday!

  1. Gosh, I love creating with old books. Both the pages and the covers--this is neat! Thanks for linking up!

  2. Very sweet! I love anything made from old print. I am making some Christmas chains from song sheets. The little Santa is cute. I need to make some of these, they could just be embellished in so many ways and I think you are right, they would look great as a banner.

  3. What a wonderful idea! A great way to reuse those yucky paperbacks at my parents house - the ones I can't even give away because they don't have covers, and have been read and re-read until the pages are falling out.

    Very creative!!!

  4. How fun! I followed your links to other projects with old paper and need to do some chains too. I have lots of mashers and love the way you finished them off. Time to start looking for some old books. Job well done.
