Suitcase Dog Bed

When I saw a picture of this on the internet I had to make one for my son's dog Chase. On my hunt for a suitcase I found one at a local shop, and asked if she had anymore, I wanted to find the perfect one and she found this one as she opend it up it fell apart and she said I could have it for free. I bought another one just because she was nice and she had lower prices than other places.
it really didn't matter that it was broken in half because I was going to add a piece of wood at the hinge so it would not close. i made a bed of black shearling and added photos of chase and his owners a bow and a doggy bone made of muslin with his name ironed on with letters.

Memory Pot

I was always intriqued by memory jars at the antique malls, that was what inspired me to try to make one. I used a tube of cement crack filler I found at a major discount store, and did a small section at a time. Just squeezed out some stuff and pressed random pieces into place.

Concrete Planter

I simply love this stone chimney cap I found in one of my husbands contructions sites. He was showing me around one weekend and I was admiring all the large boulders and I wanted some for our yard. So we wonderd around and I picked a couple out and this square one with a square hole, I had to have it! Later, my dad told me it was an old chimney cap.

Red Rubber Boots

My first entry in my blog! The first several posts in my blog will be things I have done a while ago, most are simple and fun. Here is a pair of childrens red rubber boots that I purchased for a dollar at a local thrift shop. I added red gingim to the sides where the closures were, and added silk daisies for a cute look!
