Silverware Keeper

I guess that is what it is called, well anyway I re-did this a long time ago and I really like how it turned out. The problem is I would like to use it in another manor do you have any suggestions?
It was a plain wood tray that I painted and antiquedit added wood drawer pulls for legs and metal drawer pulls for handles. This also was my first try at mosaics, I used old state plates.

So again, does anyone have any suggestions on how I could use this, besides silverware?

  1. I would use it in a craft room or office and put pens and such in it. Or it could be used to seperate small items like buttons into colors. Or in the bath and put makeup in it.
    It is lovely.

  3. I'm thinking buttons. Especially if the buttons were still on cards, and if you don't have old buttons on cards--you could sew them on your own "cards" you create. I think that would look so cool. Color coded buttons all standing at attention. And you could still use them when you need them. I just got a similar silverware divider at an auction. I was biddding against a guy on a box. I wanted a couple of things and I let him get the bid as it got too high. When I asked about what I wanted--he just gave it to me. He was after a crock lid.

  4. I would stand it upright, hang it on the wall, then insert a few thin glass floral holders with a single flower in each one.
